Audrey Lutz, MSW, LICSW, RYT has been working in the social work field since 2012. She received her Bachelors and Master's degree in social work from West Virginia University.  Audrey is also a registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. Audrey has experience in working with various populations & comes to Women in Balance with numerous years of working with Veterans and their family members through working for the Department of Veteran Affairs.

She is passionate about healing and self-care. Her goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space, and build a trusting relationship. She maintains a heavy focus on the importance of self-compassion and exploring what keeps you in tune with your life, and what pulls you off track. She recognizes that everyone grows and learns differently and embraces each client's needs and abilities to heal, learn and grow. She utilizes a holistic approach to psychotherapy by incorporating various mind-body interventions. 

She has received various training by the postpartum support international(PSI) in the diagnosis and treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADS). As well as specialized training in pre/postnatal yoga.

She is currently working towards her Advanced Alcohol & Drug certification (AADC) and is able to work with individuals who are seeking treatment for substance use disorders.

She specializes in trauma and understands how traumatic experiences impact an individual's mental, behavioral, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. She is trained in EMDR, a type of cognitive therapy that uses eye movement to allow the brain to make more meaningful connections about traumatic life events. The goal of EMDR therapy is to leave you with the emotions, understanding, and perspectives that will lead to healthy and useful behaviors and interactions.
