Bethany Owen MA, LPC

Bethany joins Women in Balance bringing her experience across the mental health field, including residential, case management, crisis intervention and clinical mental health counseling. This well-rounded background provides the foundation that helped her build a realistic, person-centered approach to counseling, which she uses to help empower each individual to continue growing in all aspects of life. Bethany understands there is no “cookie cutter” approach to counseling. Instead, she recognizes that each individual must travel his or her own path to a healthier, more positive life. She recognizes one of the keys to a healthier life is having an unbiased person to turn to, who is constantly looking out for each individual's best interests, while also providing a new perspective on ways to handle life’s stresses. The main goal behind each of her sessions is to provide a relaxing, judgment-free environment focusing on mindfulness and positive thinking. The world can be tough at times, but Bethany believes there is always goodness that can be brought to light with some positive guidance and support. A native of Southwestern Pennsylvania, Bethany earned her undergraduate degree, as well as her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Waynesburg University.
