Per state mandates, we require patients and staff to wear face coverings in our facility.  Social distancing, hand washing and disinfecting surfaces are a key part of our procedures.

We offer tele-therapy to all clients and ask for patients to use this service when feasible to lower risk.  

Women in Balance and Children in Balance has limited in-office appointments.  We are taking the following precautions to protect our patients and help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

·       If you are sick, or have any symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, sore throat, cough, trouble breathing) please stay home.  Call 304-241-1097 to reschedule or use tele-health options.

·       Office seating in the waiting room and in therapy/testing rooms has been arranged for appropriate physical distancing.

·       Outdoor seating is available.

·       Our staff members wear protective masks.  Disposable masks are provided to clients who need one.

·       Our staff maintains safe distancing.

·       Restroom soap dispensers are maintained and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands.

·       Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in the therapy/testing rooms, the waiting room and at the reception counter.

·       We schedule appointments at specific intervals to minimize the number of people in the waiting room.

·       We ask all patients to wait in their cars or outside until no earlier than 5 minutes before their appointment times.

·       One adult per session to accompany a child.  Please avoid bringing spouses or other family members unless they are participating in the therapy session.

·       If you are a parent and are waiting on your minor child in your car, please do not leave the parking lot during their appointment.

·       Credit card pads, pens and other areas that are commonly touched are thoroughly sanitized after each use.

·       Physical contact is not permitted.

·       Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.

·       Common areas are thoroughly disinfected at the end of each day.

·       Toys used in the course of therapy will be used one time and disinfected before they are used again.

·       Disposable toys are given to children such as crayons, coloring pages, etc that can be taken home.

·       We have contactless thermometers to monitor patients and staff for fevers.
